I don’t have 15 minutes! I cannot wait for my Blackberry email to show me my new emails every 15 minutes. I’ve got Gmail… in my phone. And I can refresh it any time I want and get emails real time. How many times do I refresh? Hundreds… at least. It can make for some pretty nerve wrecking moments when you’re waiting for that all important fax. Oh, and if your email has an attachment, no matter how large, you can forward it through Gmail right away (unlike the Blackberry email which will forward the text but not your attached files). And I can sync my corporate email with my Gmail account and send emails through Gmail as if they came from the corporate email.

But this is not why I’m excited. This is actually old news. The good news (hallelujah!) is that today, Google introduced new smartphone software (I assume this is all leading up to the GPhone). Which software? I’m glad you asked! Let me tell you what software.

1. Google Sync - Automatically syncs your Blackberry calendar with your Google calendar!
2. Google Docs - I love Google Docs especially for their collaboration feature. Now I can get updated files while on the road. As if I need another reason to get into a fender bender.
3. Google (feed) Reader- Yes! In my view, this is the greatest news since the one before. This means I can read news, blogs, sports etc etc, my way all in one place.

This is a great day in the life of a Blackberry addict. And iPhones everywhere are shivering.
